Hello from the SGS

Hello Everyone from Saint Genevieve School (SGS) in Flourtown, Pennsylvania,
We have had so much snow and a national holiday (Monday-Presidents' Day) that classes have been cancelled until Tuesday, February 16. The students will begin to add their information soon. Until then we thought that you might like to see a little of the snow that we have experienced. We have had over 70 inches (178 cm) of snow during this winter with about one half of that in just the past few days.

Global Community- Catholic Schools

Our schools are part of a worldwide community of people with similar beliefs and values. There are lots of things that would be the same in our schools.....but there would also be a lot of differences.

In the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Catholic Schools Week is celebrated between the dates 1st - 5th February. In the Parramatta Diocese, Catholic Schools week is celebrated between 15th-19th March. This is probably not the only difference between our schools. What are some of the differences you can see from the pictures we have posted, showing what is outside the windows of our classroom in Luddenhm NSW, Australia?

This is the view of our playground- from the front windows/doors of our classroom

This is the view out the back windows- the land next to our ovals & neighbour's land. There are cows that live on this land and you can see out west to the Blue Mountains.

What do you see outside your classroom windows??

Welcome to our combined blog !

Hi Everyone!
This is our combined blog site where we can connect, even though we are in different schools and different countries! It will be a wonderful way for us to learn about each other and work as global partners in our learning.
