We have had a busy last few weeks at HFS, during this time of Lent. On Shrove Tuesday, we watched the palms burn in preparation for Ash Wednesday. We used the palms left from Palm Sunday last year.
Then we used the ashes for our celebration on Ash Wednesday.
At this celebration we thought about something we could do or give up during Lent. Our Social Justice Student Leadership Team has been encouraging us to donate money to Project Compassion.

We have a prayer table and we switch the cloths to purple for Lent.
Some of us gave up ice cream for Lent.
Some people are doing nice things for others like holding the door open for them.
For Lent some of us gave up playing our video games. Do you have video games like Nintendo DS?
During Lent we talked about how much Jesus loves us that he died for us.
We went to Church to look at the stations of the cross.
